Suffering from hormonal hair concerns herself Joanne first embarked on electrolysis during her college year in 1999 and her passion for this result driven treatment increased throughout her time in the industry. ME was born when our founder identified a gap in the market for hormonal and non-pigmented hair removal whilst working as a laser technician. With laser hair removal not recommended for facial and hormonal areas of the body, we set out to source the most effective technology of this the century-old practice for clients looking to tackle their insecurities safely.

After discovering this medical grade technology and seeing the results firsthand, we knew it was an experience we needed to share with the community.

Today, our methods are scientifically and clinically proven as the only permanent hair removal treatment. It’s a safe and comfortable practice that uses world-class technology to ensure pinpoint precision. Unlike other hair removal methods, medical grade electrolysis directly treats each individual hair follicle with a mild electrical pulse enabling our world-class technology to target non-pigmented hair and is successful across every skin, hair type and colour combination.

Electrolysis is the most successful hair removal method currently available. The world-class technology used by Medtech Electrolysis destroys the growth centre of the hair with heat energy by inserting a probe into the hair follicle, applying a mild electrical current to the nerve and blood supply to permanently destroy the cells that stimulate hair growth before the hair is removed with tweezers.

While the therapy only causes slight discomfort due to the technological advancement, self-administered topical anaesthetic may be applied to highly sensitive areas such as the lip and eyebrow to manage the sensation if required. Post treatment a slight redness can occur typically resolving within 20-30 minutes.
